    • The smart lock is ideal not only for private houses and flats but also for rental apartments, hotels, or resorts. The device not only increases the security of homeowners or guests but also gives the owner insight into all information related to the use of the front door. The owner has up-to-date information on whether the property has been locked and, if not, always has the option of remotely locking the lock.
    • You don’t need a professional’s help installing a smart lock on your front door. The lock comes with a step-by-step instruction manual that will guide you through the installation process.
    • A smartphone app is one of the ways to control a smart door lock. It allows you to open and close the door remotely (when the smart lock is paired with a bridge), but it also gives you an overview of all activities related to the lock. In addition, it allows you to assign access to specific users and to receive notifications when the smart lock is activated. The Tedee smart lock provides three levels of user access. These determine who can control the device, when, and how. It allows each user to use the lock in a precisely controlled way. The owner has complete control of the device. The administrator has the same rights as the owner, but the owner cannot assign new administrators or take this role away from anyone. The Guest level allows the smart lock to be used according to the assigned permissions. The guest can open and close the smart lock configured by the owner or administrator.

    Tedee (Gerda) SLR Modular Cylinder

    • The length of the cylinder on the key side (internal) is 30 mm. On the lock side (external), the length can be varied between 30 and 61 mm
    • Look at the illustration and compare it to the door inside your property. Take a ruler and measure how much the cylinder protrudes from existing hardware: escutcheon or backplate. In the later installation stage, we will ensure that this distance is suitable for smart lock installation and adapt it if necessary.
    • Remove all hardware covering the access to your cylinder: a backplate or escutcheon. Then remove the screw at the edge of the door, insert your key and slide the cylinder off the lock.
    • With a cylinder of the door and aware of its inside and outside directions, measure its two dimensions. In the centre of a cylinder, there is a screw hole – measure the length from its centre toward two ends. Write the measurements down, annotating inside and outside dimensions.
